My name is Stephen J. Srein. (Steve) I was born in Baltimore, Maryland and grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 1976, I began my banking and finance career at age 16 while working for a local finance company. In 1982, I took a brief leave of absence from my job and joined the US Air Force. I was fortunate enough to be stationed near my home and my finance job. I was able to serve my country and continue working in the finance field simultaneously. In 1986, I separated from the U.S. Air Force and continued my career in finance and real estate. I earned the titles of Chief Underwriter and various VP positions over the following two years. In the same year, I started People’s First Financial Services, a company that eventually branched off into its own division and later relocated to Brevard County. In 1995, my wife Jo Ann Srein, joined me to pursue a mortgage career starting with obtaining a mortgage broker's license. Together, we work as a team where the goal is to put “People First” and to help our customers achieve the best for their financial need. In the year 2006 we will celebrate twenty years of serving our mortgage customers. In 1999, our company made this program available to the general public and it grew quickly in popularity. We have been directly connected to the real estate business for several years thus prompting us to pursue a real estate division to line up with the ethics of our mortgage company. In 2004, we became licensed Realtors in the State of Florida to actively work with For Sale By Owner customers. In 2005, we merged our concept with Golden Realty Group and we are under the "For Sale By Owner Connection" sector of Golden Realty Group. We are affectionately known as “The FSBO People” Future expansions include locations throughout the state of Florida, the Myrtle Beach area of South Carolina, North Carolina, Scottsdale, Arizona, New Mexico, Southeast Texas and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. On a personal note, we reside in the Lake Washington area of Melbourne and together Jo Ann and I have four boys - Steve Jr., DJ, Jacob, Asa and two friendly "Golden" Retrievers - Sassy and Jasmine. We enjoy working and living in the Brevard county region and look forward to serving our fellow residents in all of the capacities that we possibly can.
